Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)

Everyone has a problem with something and feels that it is good to have someone to help you when you are in trouble. But how many people are there who care. Everyone is at work, and there are more and more people who only care about their personal affairs.

But some are helping not only themselves but also society with a humanitarian perspective. They spend their personal time helping out without expecting anything in return. So they set up some non-profitable organizations and genuinely help people through them. They are able to balance their home as well as the community and live happily ever after. Some people spend all their time for the social service. A billion thanks to such people.

We Can Make a Change - We can make a change- a social initiative started by a group of friends expanded into an NGO, with a perspective to bring about significant change in society. We motivated people around to contribute their efforts along with us to participate in welfare activities like spot and pothole fixing, renovating schools and providing infrastructure, food drives etc. As a team of committed individuals, we always worked with a motto of 'Self Help' for a bright future of this great Nation.

YuvathaLike all this bright and beautiful, Yuvatha began small and fiery. A small group of young students came together, driven by the common desire to be the change they wished to see in the society.

Ask any volunteer, and he would tell you without a moment of doubt that Yuvatha’s defining moment came when a bunch of school children chose to spend their New Year Day with cancer afflicted children, at MNJ Cancer Hospital. Fuelled by the little ones’ innocence and happiness, Yuvatha gathered strength to stand today as a wide network of purposeful individuals (students, professionals and non-professionals), seeking to bring about positive change in the society.
Yuvatha officially inaugurated on 29th June, 2011 and registered under the Registrar of Civil Societies with the registration number 339/11.
As are there chapters to every beautiful story, there are three to the organization: Eco Hub, Helping Hands, and Gifting Future. Though operating at two locales — Hyderabad and Guntur, the foundation pillars of Yuvatha have been laid by students at Hyderabad, and to this day it remains an NGO directed and administered by students.
Yuvatha is a change, a motto, a move, a contribution, an impact - big or small. It is fearless and limitless and in the pursuit of change and happiness. Be a change too. Volunteer for Yuvatha!

We know and love the Himalayas and the people who live there, and want to do something to improve their lives. It’s as simple as that.

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust - Centre for Herpetology

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology (or Croc Bank) was the brain child of the legendary Romulus Whitaker and a handful of like-minded conservation visionaries who began work on the facility in 1976, in a desperate effort to save India’s dwindling crocodilian populations. Today, after more than 30 formidable years of cutting edge science and grassroots education, the Croc Bank remains a world leader in the field of frontline conservation and the preservation of natural landscapes.

The Croc Bank currently consists of a large reptile park near Chennai, Southern India, and several field projects located throughout the subcontinent reaching as far afield as the Nicobar Islands. The zoo sees close to half a million visitors per year making it one of the most popular tourist attractions along the famous East Coast Road.

Our mission statement - To promote the conservation of reptiles and amphibians and their habitats through education, scientific research and captive breeding. Efforts are focused on, but are not limited to, Indian species and ecosystems and include both in-situ and ex-situ components.

Volunteers - WWF created a movement that inspired people to care for nature. As environmental problems grew, so did people’s concern. The need arose for a platform where citizens could contribute their time, effort and energy to conservation. The WWF Volunteers’ program was created to address this need and build a community of conscious and empowered citizens.

WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and create a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. The WWF Volunteers Program was started in January 2016 with the aim of connecting citizens with the environment and enabling them to be part of conservation action. Our vision is for every citizen to be aware, sensitized and capable of creating change through individual and community mobilization. Our volunteers are role models and ambassadors for the environment, acting as positive influencers and changemakers for their communities.
